Chris I - it figures Quebec would get special treatment. Here in Alberta, $12 or so is the going rate.

As Riki mentioned, the most common brands are Players, duMaurier, and Export 'A'. Another brand that has become fairly common is Canadian Classic (one of the cheapest & with the increasing prices, they are becoming more popular).

Lena - what monthly cheques would that be? Did you mean for gas? I get no monthly cheques, nor do I know anyone who does. We got a one time cheque from the provincial government because we managed to pay off our provincial debt and had a surplus. I have heard though, that in Quebec if you have a baby, the government gives you like $6000. I got zip.

Also, we do not have more money than you do. Let me clarify your statement: We MAKE more money than you do. We do not HAVE more money than you, because the government takes from us and gives to you.

Riki
Players, duMaurier, Eport and at the present time, no name ccigarettes bought on Native Canadian reserves.

Chris I
I'm in Quebec. A pack of 25 costs about $9.50. Most people I know smoke whatever is cheapest!

Players, Du Maurier and Native Cigarettes ($15 for a carton for Natives)

I live in Quebec and the most common brands here are: Players, DuMaurier(what I smoke) and Export A.

Janae P : Before you go on whining and complaining about how great the Quebecers have it, please inform yourself! Firstly, Albertans make much more money than we do, and we don't get those nice monthly checks for the gaz. Also, we pay alot more tax's than you do. :)

-I guess were both uninformed...The Quebec government does not pay you to have a child! We do not recieve money for having a baby! That's ludicris. Also, we do pay more tax's than you and make less money over-all.
