Sure has. Just read about what people are saying in other countries. Obama may have brought a little trust in America back. Most people think that it's a change for the better. He doesn't take power for a couple of months and Bush can do a whole lot of damage in that short time. Hopefully he'll be quiet and gracious while he packs his bags.
Just go to the YA home page and read all about it.

I think the outcome of the election will be bad for Canada. First of all I don't think Obama or his handler know or care much about Canada. Second because Obama and the Democratic Party, beholden to specific interests, will be protectionist, that is they will seek to keep, put up and reinforce trade barriers. That will be bad specifically for Canadian exporters and will threaten the same kind of catastrophe which that behaviour brought on in the 1930s, a shrinking in the world's economy and a great depression.

It's a huge step forward for the US in many ways.

TRUTH IS RELATIVE
We Canadians now have a chance to work together to build our country stronger than it has ever been.

I think the guy is a bit of a dweeb, I don't really fall for this "charismatic" crap.

He is worse for Canada than John McCain would be... why is that most Canadians don't pay attention to the actual policies?

McCain was for NAFTA, keeping a bilateral trade relationship with us, while strenghening our partnership witht he United States (our largest trading partner by far, and our most trusted ally whehter we like it or not).

Do you realize how many of us are dependent off of that trade agreemnt for our livlihoods?

then you have Obama... who is pissed that he got caught in a lie in his campaign due to our government leaking info, who has blamed Canada in the past for virtually every terrorist movement on this continent, and who wants to eliminate NAFTA.

So please tell me... why do you support this guy and think he's better for us?

Obama is in for a rude awakening, after he see the intelligence files, and he sees the mess that US economy is REALLY in.

He has so many political IOU';s to pay back, with jobs in his administration that the jobs list will stretch all the way to Chicago.

He will never be able to make everyone happy, even in his own political party.

As a wise old politician once said " it is the deeds not the words " that you are judged by ......... We will see what he actually does, not what he SAYS he will do.

Jim B Toronto.
