What a wonderful opportunity for you guys! I would choose Quebec City for sure. It is a beautiful city with lots of culture and many things to see and do.

For the fundraiser, have you guys tried a car wash? I know students who have raised quite a lot of money with car washes. You have lots of time to raise the money if you start now. Best of luck with it.

You are soooo lucky that you have choices!!! Next week I get to go to cedar point. I would choose Quebec I have heard that its a really fun place with lots of things to do....in the enxd you willl make the right choice have fun!!!

Montreal and Quebec City will give you the best look at French culture in north America. Both have lots to see and do-you'll have a great time in either. Ottawa is the capital of Canada and has lots of interesting stuff to see too, but Montreal and Quebec City are most interesting. Congrats on the fundraising and saving. You're going to have a great time, whatever your group decides!
Do some research online before you decide. There are lots of sites that have travel suggestions for all the places you mentioned.

What a great opportunity!
I would think there is more to see and do in Ottawa, Montreal and Quebec City . All three are full of interesting things for folks your age. All three are very historic and all have things that are not just interesting but which could be handy to know in the upcoming school years. Of the three cities, Ottawa is the one where most of the places you could see are all pretty close to each other. If money is a problem, this could be important in that you need to spend less to see more.
There is lots to see in Montreal. Someone mentioned the Expo site. There is also Old Montreal. The Oratory is interesting and it is always nice to go up on Mount Royal. If, however, you choose more than one of these, getting from one to the other could take up both time and possibly money.
Quebec City - well my choice would be the old city for the history. I haven't been there in a long time. Someone else could probably give you good sights there.
It sounds like you have a year to come up with the money. If that is the case, keep doing the types of things you are now doing. Something we did when I was in school was to go Christmas caroling. We let the neighbourhood we were going to know and know that it was to collect money - that was back in the 50's and there was a war going on in Hungary and we collected several hundred dollars for the Hungarian Relief Fund. At the time that was a huge amount of money. Our music teacher was great at getting us ready. Just a thought.
Do they still teach home economics? You could get help from that teacher or perhaps someone in the neighbourhood knows how and can help and you could make a very nice quilt and raffle it off. It really isn't hard - just need to have someone show you the way.
Which ever city you chose, you should definitely have a good time. They are all great cities though I have to say I can't think of Sudbury and 7th graders in the same thought. I think the 3 others have more to offer folks your age.

I have been to all these places. Sudbury is out. The only thing there is a giant nickle.
Being from Toronto you would find Ottawa kind of like a town. It is very nice with lots of green. There is Parliament Hill and the national gallery. The war museum. Across the river in Hull is the Museum of Natural History (it's great). Museum of aviation. Science Museum. And a bunch more museums.....
Montreal is great. The culture is very different from Toronto. In the old part of the city it is like being in a European city. Notre Dame cathedral is beautiful to behold. You can go to the Olympic village for a swim in the pool. Go to La Ronde, the site of Expo '67.
I suggest you go to the official tourism websites for both and look at what's there

Montreal or Quebec city.
Change of culture for you with lots of fun thing to do and sights to see.
I would choose Montreal but its a personal preference. Do some research and dicide for yourself.
