Cell provider in montreal?

I am moving to Montreal tomorrow, and am wondering who has the best cellular plans? I am not a heavy user at all. I was using Rogers, but your minutes expire every month whether you use them or not.
merci bien!

I have bell, and I think it is one of the most popular ones here.
however, i do NOT recommend it.
1. my phone does not work in schools, and some other places (really bad reception)
2. because of the bad reception, when I leave it on it always dies
3. you have to get a contract (1 -3 years), i got a 3 year one and now theres no way out :S
4. if you text a lot its not as good as rogers

so, as you can see, i'm really not satisfyed with bell and I don't recommend it.

In my opinion, you should stay with rogers.

We have the same providers as the rest of Canada. Koodoo is the newest on the block, but I know very little about them

Ummm, how about some of the smaller companies, like Koodoo Mobile or Solo Mobile??

I'm with Telus and I love it! They've got a great pay as you go plan and you can add features any time you want. And they expire daily, so if you want free incoming calls for just today, you pay a dollar today and you can talk as much as you want today, as long as they are incoming calls! You can also add monthly features like unlimited text for 30 days for just 10$. Your balance doesn't necessarily expire monthly. If you put a 10$ card, it expires in a month. And if you put 25 or 50 dollars, they expire in 3 months, I believe! It all depends how much you top up. I've never really had a problem with Telus. I've only had a dropped call once the whole 9 months I'm with them and that was because I was far away from home. Also, my balance expired way too soon. But Telus fixed that right away after we called them. All I know is that my friends who are with different providers are always complaining! I can't say a negative thing about Telus so far! (Oh, and btw, their rates for pay as you go are really cheap! I have like 25 cents a minute!)

Fido is by the second - popular.
Virgin is what I use, but the money expires unless you keep paying more every 3 months.
There is a new one now at Walmart. Koodoo?

Cell phones suck!

I had one of those years ago.

Never again!

I was with a cell phone network called Orange - ever heard of it buddy?

Anyways, I see you've made your mind up to move to Montreal then?

Good for you!

Which neighborhood if I may ask?

Welcome to Montreal by the way!

Hello, all companies are like that, if you use the minutes or not, you just got to keep adding 10 dollar cards... I've been with Fido, Rogers, and now I'm with Telus, I think I'm happiest with Telus, you can add small features to your phone even if you're on pay and talk!

I have no reception problems with Telus, I'm from Laval, it's just outside of montreal...

Telus also has great monthly plans...
