Perhaps you are referring to the song "God Save the Queen".
This song is often sung as a hymn or in conjunction with O Canada.
It officially has 3 verses (as sung in the UK) but in Canada we typically only sing the first versus. |

As far as I know, no verses have officially been added. I searched up "changed Canadian national anthem" on Google and the last changes that were made were in 1990 |
