It's ok, it's a fun place to visit once or twice, but after that, it gets boring and overrated. It's obviously a tourist trap, and a lot of people visit Niagara Falls, look at the falls for 5 minutes, and then go to Clifton Hill and visit all the tacky tourist traps. It's sort of like Times Square in New York City ... Times Square is just an intersection full of fancy billboards and flashing lights, what's so exciting about that? People should visit New York to visit the real New York, the neighborhoods, the cafes, the financial district, etc not the tourist traps like Times Square. People should visit Niagara Falls to visit the falls (which is supposed to be the main attraction) not the over priced restaurants and tacky tourist traps. The entire area around Niagara Falls on both sides of the border should have been designated as protected national parks to stop over development that takes away from the natural beauty of the falls, but obviously that never happened, but at least there is the state park on the American side which protects some of the rare natural beauty that still surrounds the falls. |

I love Clifton Hill! I used to go there when I was younger and last year I took my kids there. They loved it, but my oldest son wouldn't go on the giant ferris wheel with me, (wimp) lol. The only thing I missed when I went last year was they used to have a karaoke store where you could make your own tapes, and I wanted to go in there with the kids, but it wasn't there anymore. I wish they would do the same kind of setup in my city. I think it could bring in a lot of tourism. |

I grew up in that area. I used to go a lot when I was a kid and now I take my own son there. The Frankenstein museum was one of my favourites. Yes, it was even there in the early 1970s!
I was there in July of this year and I must say however that it is in need of some new things. The WWF store is always empty for example. They need some new attractions there. |

It's awesome! No matter how many times we go to Niagara (couple times a year) we never get sick of it. And we don't even have kids! lol! |

its nice when you don't live near it. i used to love it, then i moved to the area and its just a hassle to get through town with all the tourist sites now. its great for tourist, but unfortunately just a trap and a drawn up hype thats too expensive for local residents. |

its pretty fun still. but everything is over-priced.
Dollar Day is the best. Everything on the hill is $1.
&& The Midway is probably the best thing. Everything else is pretty cheesy. |

I think it would be great if it was somewhere else. I hate how everything is so built up around the falls. Something that is such a natural wonder has nothing natural left around it.
Clifton hill is fun on it's own though. I've worked at a few different places on the hill (a haunted house and the rainforest cafe) and it's fun. Pain in the butt trying to get across the street but otherwise it's fun! lol.
But there is a LOT of work that needs to be done, bring in some new things get rid of the old sutff people don't want anymore. The whole industry in that city needs to do this. Tourism is dropping at such a pathetic rate and they blame it ALL on gas prices, pathetic cop out. lol. I think they need an indoor surfing place on the hill. that would be fun! But there IS a new indoor skydiving tunnel (not on the hill though) it's attatched to the hooters. its so much fun! |
