I'm pretty sure we can.... always remember that there may be more American Teams but majority of the player are ....... Canadian!
Hockey was and always will be Canada's game!
I think you got it all wrong the question should be:
Could the U.S. live without Canada? |

We've been doing it since 1812 ( Remember that little altercation ) and long before that actually !
Ahh .....Canadian hockey played in the U.S...what a concept ! *L*
You appear to be a sports buff , and I presume you know that basketball...a favorite of the U.S. was invented by a Canadian....*S*
As concerns your gun laws...we love em actually ...because we know if you had laws like us as regards gun control , why then there would be way. way. way more of you than there are now !
Ask a TROLL question and we respond in "Trolleeze" we're multi-lingual up here.*lol* |

Eh, Canada would be fine without us. But NAFTA really does boost their economy. I think they do a slightly better job of money management than we do, though. |

You may own the vast majority of hockey teams BUT can your teams survive without Canadian players? |

They could live quite well without us. Hockey is their game, football is ours. |

I'd rather see fewer teams in the NHL ... maybe restrict it to those cities that actually know what ice looks like?
Seriously, the rivalries and being able to know all the players was easy when there was six temas.... now I have to admit I dont even know some of the new teams names and our local clubs (canucks) rarely play anyone outside their own divisions now which means we see them play Torornto or Montreal like once per year but see them play Minnesota and Calgary every other nite it seems.
Could Canada live without USA? Sure lets give it a try. |

They would probably get more deserved respect since this country of 32 million has an economy over the 1 Trillion dollar range. |

Of course they could... but they wouldn't have as much fun without the US. |

So far we are doing very well, thank you. |

the US is nothing to Canada other than a market to sell our products, but we could find other markets if we needed to... |

Most Canadians would prefer it that way. But then where would we go when we needed a good chuckle.
You may own the franchises but we have the talent that keeps bringing in the money. |

and not to forget, Canada supplies about 27 % of all oil the US needs and uses! so please be nice to us -:)
and this is not to say we don't need you -- we do. and as we see now, you get a cold (the economy) and we sneeze too. |

That means getting rid of CNN, FOX, Playboy, Oprah, Doc Phil, Snoop Dog etc. Nope can't do it. American culture is much to advanced to be denied in Canada. |
