Could you get shot moving from Canada to the Unites States?

I live in London, Ontario Canada right now but I was thinking once I'm outta High School and get enough money I was thinking about moving to the States. I'm wondering could you get shot if you move to the South because I've seen videos where there's gangs and they're like "this guy coming from another place got shot" etc. so could you??
Additional Details
Oh and if it makes a difference I'm Canadian/American/German/and a lil Native.

You could get shot anywhere if you are at the wrong place at the wrong time.

But you realize that immigrating to a new country isn't as easy as just moving there. There is a lot of red tape to get through, you have to be sponsored. And they don't have free health care like we do in Canada.

If you are asking, will you get shot because you moved to the states, then no, its unlikely to happen. If you are asking, is the probability of being shot greater in the states, then yes, they have no gun control in the states.

morris
I've lived in th US all my life and I never have known anyone to get shot at. US is a pretty vast country with most areas being very safe.

To be honest, it doesn't matter where you live or where you're from, you could get shot anywhere. It's not likely though unless you move to a high crime area. I'm from a large city in the midwest and I've never been around anyone that's ever gotten shot at. Most people have a reason why they're shooting, and it's normally gang or drug related. Before you move, visit the area you plan to move to and check the crime rate. You'd be better living outside of the city. Normally, there's nothing to worry about.

No. You'll be clubbed.

Your probability of getting shot being in the US verses Canada increases 10 to 100 times greater.

On the other hand, most people are murdered by someone they know, (disgruntled boyfriends, family, gangs, drug deals, friends when you take their last beer) So if you are moving to the states and don't know anyone, your chances may actually go down a bit.

With your attitude, don't bother. Stay in Canada.
