They did. Canada's Thanksgiving is in October - but they also have turkey, pumpkin pie, and all that stuff. However, they don't call it Turkey Day, they call it Thanksgiving.

Canada's Thanksgiving is always a month or so before Americans. It's held on the second Monday of every October. Our Thanksgiving is usually not as big a deal as Americans, however it is a day off work and school, so that is always a positive thing!
