I just got back from Toronto on Monday. I love it! You can walk almost anywhere and use public transportation for anyplace else. The people are nice and the food is fantastic. Have a great trip! |

Live here and love it. Without a question the best country to be in. People are polite and friendly. The country itself is beautiful. Lots to see and do and no we don't live in igloos. Crime is relatively low. Take a drive and check us out! |

Canada is a wonderful country to visit, in August. My favourite experience was driving along the Icefields Parkway between Banff and Jasper, both in the Rocky Mountains in the Province of Alberta. It's different, but equally beautiful, in both directions, south to north and north to south--so do both. BUT: What do you want to do in Canada? Probably you already know where you are going, so if you tell us that, we can help you more. Contrary to what one person wrote, you do NOT need to know French to visit Canada--it is helpful only if you visit the Province of Quebec (which does offer a lot of beautiful nature plus the extraordinary "old-Europe"-like city of Quebec City and also what may be my favourite Canadian city, Montreal. Your knowledge of English will be sufficient to help you enjoy anyplace in Canada. Again, please tell us what you want to do and where you are going. Neil |

What's not to enjoy in Canada. It's beautiful. August is perfect weather for visiting Canada. It's a big country, where are you going? Niagara Falls is nice. Toronto is interesting to see. Out east and west are pretty cool too. |

I love you too, Biff!
Nobody has mentioned the Maritime Provinces - New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland. Now THERE's where you go for wonderful food and fresh salty breezes. And the nicest people anywhere. With the spectacular scenery, lobster suppers and whale watching on the highest tides in the world, what more could you want? |

I found Vancouver the nicest place in Canada, the nearby mountain area (Grouse Mountain) is so easy to get to, and the islands are nice to visit, but Toronto (and the Niagara Falls), Ottawa and Montreal are also nice. Next time I must visit the Whistler mountain area, which I understand is nice. |

Well I live in Canada and the answer to your question is YES!!! Canada in the summer is just amazing. Everyone is free and happy. There are music festivals and fairs. Camping, boating. fishing, hiking and swimming all in breathtaking majestic places. Imagine for a moment if you can that you own a large beautiful home....miles upon miles of beautiful outdoor playgrounds.....crisp clean water to swim in.....friendly party happy neighbours in every direction smiling and singing......but in order to enjoy that place for a mere 4 months a year you had to live for 8 months of the year in the freezer!!!! how much would you appreciate that? |
