To go through the US is quickest, but... Go to Toronto, get on 400 north til it turns into 69, which ends in Sudbury. Get on 17 west. This is the Trans-Canada Highway. It will turn into Route 1 at Manitoba, and will remain 1 all the way through Sask and into Alberta. You can't miss Calgary, it's smack in the middle of the road! |

Of course there is a way....I drove from Ontario to Alberta, and I went through the States because it was cheaper that way. But just buy a map and I'm sure you will find the route you are looking for. |

Do you have Google earth? If you do you can map it very easily. |

I would recommend that you take the transcanada highway it will bring you right there. Its one straight highway from Toronto-Vancouver. Good luck |

I ve driven Nova Scotia to Alberta and back 8 times and only went through the US 2 times for a change. Follow the Trans Canada Highway(#1) its easy.Travel up to Sudbury,Sault St Marie to Thunder Bay then over to Kenora through to Winnipeg, Regina and Calgary. A CAA office can give you super maps! |
