Do Canadians ever home-make chocolate chip cookies?

and then home-made whipped cream and fudge to top it off. and how popular are hot fudge sundaes in Canada?
Additional Details
If you are Canadian, when was the last time you went to buy flour and sugar and chocolate chips and brown sugar and butter and all else you add, and oven baked delicious cookies from scratch?

How often a year does the average Canadian enjoy this activity?

I make home made chocolate chip cookies all the time, my favourite recipe is the Tollhouse Chocolate Chip one, followed by a friend's recipe, I also make Oatmeal Choc Chip, Oatmeal Cranberry, Double Choc, Chewy Oatmeal, used to make peanut butter but Baby Daughter is highy allergic to all nuts. I make cookies usually every 2 weeks, my husband works out of town so I send him cookies when he goes back I also make muffins and bread and rolls.

The last time I went for flour was just a few weeks ago, I have to go and get sugar, brown sugar and choc chips pretty soon.

The only time I make whipped cream is when I need it for a dessert or a pie.

Dairy Queen has a good hot fudge sundae, I am sure at certain times of the year they are quite popular, I do not eat them that often, am not a big sweet fan.

I make cookies from scratch quite often. A couple times a month at least. I do have four cookie loving boys. Home made whipped cream for topping deserts is also a must. I never purchase the store bought, edible oil product. It really only takes a few minutes to whip and is worth the effort. But mine usually goes to top hot chocolate, or specialty coffees. I am not a big fan of hot fudge sundaes.
As for the rest of the Canadians, I cannot speculate. I can't say I can even define what is the average Canadian.
Also, as I am a Chef, I always have all those things on hand anyways, as I do a fair amount of baking at home.

Why do you always ask these absurd questions? Just curious...

Lina
Yes, I think many people bake cookies. I just went downtown the other day to get some of those things to make cookies. As for sundaes, I love them!

Depends on the household. My wife likes to bake, so I get fresh baked, soft cookies all the time. And I like hot fudge sundaes, but don't eat them a lot (it is winter here afterall).

Are you asking this from another planet?? Any normal, in another English speaking country, wouldn't bother to even ask such a ridiculous question. Do you really think that Canadians care about how many times a year the average Canadian bakes chocolate chip cookies from scratch? What are you, Mrs. Field's pimp?
