These days I think it is advisable or even a must for all people traveling to have id with them, even children (birth certificate if nothing else). Also I hope it's "board" a plane. Abort would mean your bailing out of the plane. |

Do you mean to "board" a plane? To "abort" is to stop or prevent something. You will need I.D. at the airport when you check in. You do not need any other I.D. to cross from one province into another. |

If you fly within a province you need photo ID. If you take a bus between provinces you obviously do not need any ID.
So crossing a provincial border is not relevant to your need for ID ... but the airline and security officers will require ID, much the same as a bank might. They don't care what your citizenship is, just that you are you. |
