Do Children/adults need ID to abort a plane if the plane is changing province?

Quebec to Nova Scotia

These days I think it is advisable or even a must for all people traveling to have id with them, even children (birth certificate if nothing else). Also I hope it's "board" a plane. Abort would mean your bailing out of the plane.

Stephen L
Boy, I would hate to be the woman who "aborts" a plane. Sounds mighty painful.

Nope. Only for international flights.

Do you mean to "board" a plane? To "abort" is to stop or prevent something. You will need I.D. at the airport when you check in. You do not need any other I.D. to cross from one province into another.

If you fly within a province you need photo ID. If you take a bus between provinces you obviously do not need any ID.

So crossing a provincial border is not relevant to your need for ID ... but the airline and security officers will require ID, much the same as a bank might. They don't care what your citizenship is, just that you are you.

You need id just to get through security at any airport.

Crispin B
provinicial borders are meaningless because air transportation is the domain of the federal governement in Canada.
