It depends on your citizenship! If you are an American or a Canadian a passport is not YET required (see website) but passports ARE REQUIRED for citizens of other countries.

No,but when I flew to Canada a few years ago,everyone else had one and got right in.I didn't and had to answer a lot of extra questions.So it does make it easier.
You do still need proper ID,like a drivers license,and your birth certificate. |

Same answer as Donavan above, but you wont need a passport for land border crossings till Jan 2008. Planes and boats will be Jan 2007. |

No, you do not have to have a passport! Effective Jan. 2007, you will be REQUIRED to carry a passport to Canada and Mexico which currently is unescassary! |
