The Christians all over the world celebrate the birth of Christ. Why not in Quebec.

Yes, of course they do.
As someone else said Christmas is a holiday to celebrate the birth of Christ, if you are Christian then you would celebrate Christmas, no matter where you live.

Hope I helped :o)

Oh course! its HUGE in Quebec.

but i guess you could say that New Year's is more important.

We tend to celebrate Christmas as in a more religious way (which is why it exists in the first place) some families give presents on new year's eve instead of Christmas eve. Personally, we do it on Christmas.

the Christians in Quebec do BUT the people of other religions do not however because Christians make up the majority of the population those of non Christian faiths are kind of force to anyway. They may not have a tree or give presents but they will have Christmas off and be forced to listen to Christmas music till their ears bleed like the rest of us.

Lets be honest. Christmas has become more than a religious holiday for many. That being said people all over the world celebrate Christmas in every country including Canada. The percentages of people who celebrate wil change from country to country but I assure you that the majority of Canada celebrates Christmas including Quebec. Do Americans go to school past grade 5?

Less and less people think about it as a religious holiday, but since we have a catholic historical background then yes we celebrate Christmas. Some still do as a christian holiday though, but they also buy gifts and everything.

Of course we celebrate Christmas here. Many celebrations, festivals, and decorations are found in my city as early as November!

It's okay though, sometimes people think they know more about us Canadians than they really do...
