I'm sure some do.....but I agree with the answer above, I think most locals refer to it as TO

I think it was used in a Rascalz video, but really only white suburban wannabees from the 905 use this expression. Pretty lame sounding I think. Most people from Toronto just use TO.

Mug R
Yes it is used but not very often. Everyone above is right, its TO to most in Toronto. Which I'm sure means Toronto Ontario.

sometimes i say t-dot as a joke to my friends from out of town. like, "so..... when are you gonna come visit me in the t-dot?"

i don't think i've ever heard anyone from toronto actually use that term seriously. people just say toronto, or TO.

trs_shortie9
Apparently "t-dot" was popularized by its use in a lot of hip hop lyrics by artists from Toronto.
Also, many people from Toronto simply call Toronto "TO", therefore "t-dot" is the full way to say TO (tee-dot-ohh).

But generally, from my experience T-dot is what is said by many people not from Toronto.

"TO" is the preferred term.

"T-dot" is pretty tacky.

FeatherHead
No....its called TO by the locals...
