I think it was used in a Rascalz video, but really only white suburban wannabees from the 905 use this expression. Pretty lame sounding I think. Most people from Toronto just use TO. |

Yes it is used but not very often. Everyone above is right, its TO to most in Toronto. Which I'm sure means Toronto Ontario. |

sometimes i say t-dot as a joke to my friends from out of town. like, "so..... when are you gonna come visit me in the t-dot?"
i don't think i've ever heard anyone from toronto actually use that term seriously. people just say toronto, or TO. |

Apparently "t-dot" was popularized by its use in a lot of hip hop lyrics by artists from Toronto.
Also, many people from Toronto simply call Toronto "TO", therefore "t-dot" is the full way to say TO (tee-dot-ohh).
But generally, from my experience T-dot is what is said by many people not from Toronto. |
