You need apassport to FLY to and from Canada, but not to DRIVE. Will need one to drive as soon as Jan. 2008, but prob. not til June 2008. See website below to read the law for yoursef.

Not yet. They haven't passed that law yet to my knowledge. I just got back from a trip to Niagra Falls last week and we went into Canada no problem without any passports.

for the 10 millionth time you need a current passport to come to Canada we now are a foreign nation you have to bring money too to give to all the canadains you meet on your trip so we welcome you here i think the going rate is $ 25 each and dont forget you have to pay customs to let you accross i think thats $ 250 per crossing

If you are driving, then you do not require a passport until some time in 2008 ( they haven't set an exact date as of yet ), if you are flying then yes you do require a passport or proof that it is in processing.

Yes. You need a passport to travel from any country to another no matter how close the other country is as in Canada being next door to USA. Passports are still needed.
