Canada is safer we have less violent crime not as racist

Canada has a lower crime rate, particularly murder, so yeah it's safer in terms of the likelihood of being a crime victim. Also, the US makes itself a target by attempting to impose our way of life on other cultures; Canada is a little better at minding its own business, so I'd think it would be a much less likely target for foreign terrorism. But you're asking about a whole country (well, two whole countries) so you're really only talking about averages. Just like there are safer and less safe cities in the US, there are safer and less safe cities in Canada.

Canada is much safer.
There is not near as many problems as the US
Also our diversity is what makes us who we are.

Without a doubt Canada is safer. They have less guns, the general population is better educated, and they have an honest belief in the sanctity of life.

Jack
of course, canada is safer.
i think canada is a peaceful country and less aggressive than us

I believe Canada is safer, less guns. We are a friendly people and we seem to keep our nose out of trouble.. unlike bush and the war on terror..who is he to say iraq needs to change.. what does he care...OIL!!

Yes it is due to the fact that Canada is not as big a world player as the USA is and not as military might as the USA. Even though Canada is looked upon as a great peacekeeper when the world needs one, we have a great society, there is some crime but overall the people are great.

Canada has it's problems too. On the whole we are safer. Less people for one. But yes, there are murders there are drug problems and we have had our share of school shootings. One recently in Montreal in Dawson College. Links below provide a few of our really bad stories of violence and our worse serial killer.

Stereotypical Canadian, Eh?
ya, it is, but the laws aren't as strickt, like murder, u can get bail!!! its crazy, but there isnt as much crime. But, i still think Canada is much safer

vlvtnrbt
Yes unless you consider the terrible Moose problem there

I'm American living in Ontario. It depends where your talking about in the states or Canada. In my little redneck town in the states there was NO crime, in Toronto lot of crime. In bigger cities is more crime in the states as well as Canada. Now don't get me wrong, I like living in Canada.

Well as far as terrorism Canada probably is far safer to live than the United States because they are not a target. They do not involve themselves in world affairs. But as far as the other stuff like regular crime, rape, ext. Canada may have a little less than the US but mostly you just don't hear about the crime in Canada because you don't live in Canada, the US media would never report on any kind of Crime in Canada unless it was really really really bad.

Safer in what way??!! I go 2 Canada every now and again and I really see no difference!! There's Crime and danger everywhere now!!
