I like them both. But, I like the U.S. more. Of course, I am biased as I live in the U.S.

Well, since I seem to be the only one here who has LIVED in both.........
BOTH countries have their good and bad points.I won't go into them here.
All I can say is, for Americans, the U.S. is the best. It's their home. It's where they feel most comfortable.....well,most of the time, anyway. And I have to admit.......as I type this,I'm in Southern California, where it's warm and sunny. While in most of Canada right now,it's snowy and cold. This is better, right now.
But..........
I'm Canadian.Born and raised on the East Coast of Canada.I have Maple Syrup and Tim Horton's coffee in my veins. So,for me,and most Canadians,Canada is the best.

I've lived in the US for about 20 years now. I've visited Canada twice.

I definitely like Canada better. I cannot wait to move up there!!

I would vote Canada, I live in the US currently but I'm migrating to Canada this summer.
Politics, environmental issues and foreign policy in the US is so messed up, I'm getting the heck out.

CANADA!
and no, it's not a frozen tundra.

Both have their pros and cons. But I think Canada has more pros than cons. Some pros about Canada:

-Equal healthcare for all, rich or poor, sick or relatively healthy. No out of pocket fees for non-elective healthcare itself. Surgery is "free", cancer treatment is "free", etc. Some provinces also help pay for most prescription drug costs based on income. Also, we pay less for the same prescriptions than Americans. You might not care now, but if you become a cancer patient in the U.S who is denied insurance, you'll care then...

-Less gun violence and more gun control. Major crime is usually gang related crime, and isolated to certain areas of major cities.

-Better education and generally more literate and intelligent people as a whole. I have yet to hear a Canadian say "We been..." or "Ya'all ain't....".....

-Not a perfect government by any means, but nothing compared to what's going on in the U.S. Yikes! I won't touch that with a ten foot pole...

-A better economy and housing market, although if the U.S. goes down, it will take us with it.

-Beautiful lakes, parks, greenspace, and natural resources, very little pollution (excluding Toronto on some days and other parts of Ontario).

-Home to one of the most beautiful and top rated cities in the world (Vancouver, BC).

-A booming film industry (Vancouver, Toronto, Winnipeg and Regina, believe it or not).

-Canadians as a whole are more health conscious, and we have less obesity and overweight people. Advertising restrictions here result in much less fast food ads, and virtually all Canadian provinces have a smoking ban in indoor places. One province is going to pass a law that makes it illegal to smoke in cars with children.

--Generally more accepting of other cultures, conservative when it comes to war, more ecofriendly as a whole...basically, a more civilized and progressive society.

I could go on, but there is no need. For me, Canada is the clear winner, although like I said, there are pros and cons to both. I think the U.S. used to be a great country....but something has happened to it, and I have no idea how that will ever be fixed. Most Americans who realize this simply opt to move.

Sure, many Americans are happy and love the U.S.. That is fine. But talk to some of the sick people who are uninsured, and those who oppose the "War on Terror" and you may see why I think the way I do....

Best wishes....

Odd question...

I've never been to Canada. All I know about Canada, I learned from South Park.
But the US is falling apart, morally...
It's sad.

I don't even know why i'm answering...I can't choose because I don't have an opinion on one choice...
Oh well.
