For coming INTO Canada, no. Canada has not changed anything for it's entry requirements. It is the ENTRY or RE-ENTRY to the USA that you now need the passport to come to by air. (since January 23, 2007) Effective January 2008 you will need your passport to enter the USA by land or water.

If you are traveling by air, then yes. If you are driving, or taking a cruise, then not yet. I think that's in 2008.

If you are traveling into Canada from the US via air travel you will need a passport. If you are traveling via car or boat you will not need a passport, those regulations are not set to change until January of 2008. If you want more information you can get it at http://www.cbp.gov/
Hope this helps!

If you are driving NO. Not until January 2008. If you are flying or cruising, yes.
