Not yet, but very soon we will need a passport to cross the US/Canada border.
If you have one, bring it. If not, bring as much ID as you can.
This IS the US/Canada border we are talking about. It usually is never a problem for residents to cross over, but from time to time, they will run the course on you.
You don't want a simple border hassle to ruin your trip. A passport is a good thing to have anyway if you plan to travel anywhere outside your home country. |

My Son & his wife drove there from Washington state & neither one had a passport.You don't have to have one at all.They were asked for ID only. |

yes you do. when you ar crossing the border there are immigration ports and stops you hav to stop at and there they check your passports. |

Officially you can still cross with just a photo ID (driver's licence) and birth certificate up until October I believe. However, having the passport makes things go so much faster... |
