Definitely not. I prefer Canada's health system. There'd be too many changes for both nations to be comfortable as a united land, culturally, politically, medically, and Canada is still part of the British Commonwealth. I rather like being able to go to England without the need of a travel Visa. I think the relationship Canada and the US have now is working just fine, even though we do need passports to go to the states now, for most forms of travel.

No.....there is no need for it. Canada is doing just fine....in spite of higher prices and taxes....we enjoy probably the best health care system in the world....we have a leader that isn't an embarrassment on the world stage. He can speak both official languages......compared to his predecessor, who was fluent in neither.

First off:

Ha-ha-ha ha ha ha. There have been no "threats" made on either side about one country invading the other for water, neither would any side even consider doing so.

If you want to do a good project, it will not serve your interests to make up "facts" which can easily be disproven.

Secondly:

This wouldn't exactly be the first time the Americans have invaded Canada.

When our colony refused to take up arms against the British Empire in 1775, this really pissed off congress. It pissed them off so badly that they, in fact, decided that they were going to invade Canada.

If you've had any kind of balanced education and not the propaganda version, you should know that the invasion, led by General Montgomery and General B. Arnold was a disaster.

Due to lack of proper maps, inadaquate supplies and the sheer incompetence of Continental Generals, the Americans, after "capturing" Montreal (fairly easy, considering no-one was there at the time), the invasion of Canada was defeated at Quebec on December 31st, 1775 by a handful of British regulars and a few Empire Loyalists.

And then, of course, there was the infamous War of 1812, where British regulars trounced American infantry every time they tried to cross the border. Americans were defeated at the Queenston Heights, where they outnumbered the British 6-1, at Detroit, where they were defending a fort AND outnumbered the British 3-1, Chateaguay, where they outnumbered Imperial forces 9-1, and then again at Crysler's farm where they outnumbered British regulars a full 11-1. A ratio like that makes New Orleans look like a pathetic victory.

Americans have tried to conquer Canada twice already.

No, Canada should NOT join the US. On the bright side, it would stop all of the Americans who try and more here because they hate Bush and want to use our national healthcare...

Well lets see. With George Bush as our President. The US dollar now worth less then the Canadian Dollar. Most of the worlds population hating us, and wanting to see us all dead. Our Constitution in shambles. While this country becomes a police state, where the cops can do what ever the hell they want.

The only country that is a threat to our water and natural resources is the US. To suggest any other country would be is ridiculous. HOW would they pipeline our water to Asia or anywhere else?

Honestly the more so-called "news" I hear the more I think I am living in the twilight zone ! If your teacher said that I would see about changing classes REAL fast.

oh no dear, we're thinking of selling the water for profit.lol. And no Im just fine where I am, our news networks don't work for major corporations, CBC any way, we get the truth here without the propaganda, we don't like to make war, we have free health care and a great social system, the world loves us when we travel because we don't put our nose in the air. what else? could go on and on, I don't think any in Canada want to join the US, peace to you!
