Do you think toronto is canadas new york city?

I've been to both cities and both cities are a melting pot of poeple as well as the financial centers of their respected countries. Of course their weathers are not that similar though. but i think everything else, they are similar, do you agree?

No...New York is the Montreal of the USA....just Montrealers can speak better French :)

I agree...Toronto is more like LA, mainly because of the film industry.

Toronto is even more multi-cultural than N.Y.C.; in fact Toronto is currently the most multi-cultural city in the world.

bj
I would agree for the two points you raised. Yes however we are not a melting pot. What we are able to do is observe our individual ethnic celebrations and be respected for it not frowned on . The weather is something we both contend with differently.

the congestion in NY is different than it is in Toronto. We can actually drive downtown .

Alletery
Each one is the nucleus of the country's economy.

duke_diode
Toronto is Toronto and New York is New York. There's only one Toronto.

syed a
yes

burrito
I agree. Even the weather is very similar.

i completely agree to that. other than weather and them being in two different countries i think they are pretty much the same city!

snowy
Yes, and the weather is similar. Cold in the winter and hot in the summer. I grew up in Toronto and of all the Canadian cities it would be closest to NY.

Gardenia
Kind of.... But prefere to say Montreal. But the difference, it's 65% French, so....

Sucre
no i think its more like Canada's LA.

LA= film industy, TO= film industry
LA= mexicans, TO=asians

all the same really
