LOL yes that describes them pretty well only I would rather have Larry, Curly and Moe running Canada than those three. Canadians didn't vote for those incompetent fools. We don't need another election but if this is the way it's going to be Canadians need to have a say in how it turns out and Canadians are smart and would not support the three stooges of Canadian Politics. |

I think that this coalition is a terrible idea not only because of the amount of squabbling that will happen between the three but because the move is anti-democratic. Especially now Canada needs a leader who can make decisions even if everybody is not for them but its better than having three different ideologies and methods conflicting with each other and never reaching a compromise. |

Hell no.
Harper can be a jerk sometimes, but at least he has a firm grip on the country.
I don't think those three put together will have a grip on anything, let alone a country. Or reality. |

Noooooooo....
Time for all of us to pack up and move...I wonder if they ever thought about asking us for an opinion poll on this instead of deciding amongst themselves. |

It would be Dion/Layton, Gilles is left out because his party wants no part of the government (cabinet).
So, two stooges, wait, that doesn't work.
The Bloc would help pass a no confidence motion however. |

Well, someone's probably going to flame me for this, but...
YES. First of all, Dion already put in his resignation, so it's actually going to be Ignatieff or Rae running the Liberal Party (if there's a third leadership candidate, help me out with the name please). Either one of them I'd be good with.
Second, I believe that it would be much easier to make a Liberal-NDP-Bloc coalition work than a Harper minority. The bloc's separatist agenda aside, I think that ideologically they have enough in common to be able to work together. I mean, I might be putting a bit too much faith in the party leaders and future party leaders, but I don't see Harper trying to make parliament work anytime soon.
Third, only 37.6% of voters voted for the Conservatives. So for people who are saying that democracy has already spoken: yes, it has. No one listened. However, if we have a coalition, more of these votes will be represented. |

Harper can be arrogant, but Dion can barely speak English (and he wanted a "carbon tax"....not a smart idea with a weakened global economy), and the NDP are socialist. And don't get me started on the separatist Bloc.....
I don't like ANY of them. |

Ya know what they say. Put enough monkeys together in front of type writers and eventually they'll produce a book. The current PM is only one monkey.
Actually, as it stands, it's really two party's not three. Gilles and the boys have veto but no say. They'll support a coalition for a set time. It doesn't mean they will set policy, just agree to not disagree during that time and afterwards it's back to a free for all and you better believe they'll use their veto then as usual. As for Stephan, he's gone in May after the Liberal leadership convention. Now you're down to one known monkey again with a bit of uncertainty as to who will be the second one.
There's one thing that no one seems to be mentioning, so I will. Harper's Government announced that they'll suspend the right to strike. That's a flagrant abuse of power right there, possibly not even legal in itself. He deserves to get his can kicked just for that. Will important social and medical services be next on his axe agenda? Let's not forget, Harper wants to keep power he needs to have the confidence of the house. That's how precarious a minority government is and how many fell prematurely. ( Look up Joe Clark). How can anyone say he's getting a raw deal here? He's getting what the polls gave him. A minority government that 62% of the people didn't vote for. That's no mandate. That's a George W. Bush " yay...I won, get out the steaks 'cause my Brother in Florida fudged some numbers" victory. The only difference being that Harper knows where Florida is.
I'm glad that Parliamentary rules and the constitution are working, just as they should be.
Edit: Hilarious, Harper is calling the Liberals on a coalition with the Bloc, yet he attempted the same thing with the NDP and Bloc as partners against Martin. That pompous jerk deserves to leave 24 Sussex for letting Canadians down with nonexistant plans for an economic future, further job losses and taking a budget surplus and spending it down to zero, just when we actually need it. |

Hell no! I don't want them. I don't think it's right. Don't get me started on the liberals. We won't just be in trouble.. we'll be F**ked! |

All the parties and leaders have lost what little respect i had for them. They are all playing their stupid little political games. Harper seems to think 143 seats is a majority, Dion and Layton are teaming up with the FLQ...I mean block and they all don't really seem to care about the economical crisis. The only party left to have faith in is the green party, and they don't have a single seat. |

I agree 100%.
And I am saddened that Harper has backed down on the 'payment for votes' rejection. Why on earth should the taxpayers have to pay the political parties to go out and do their campaigning? That is ludicrous in the extreme. And as it stands at present, the smaller parties - the Green Party (which no longer has a sitting member) the Christian Heritage Party, the Rhinocerous party and all the little fringe parties, are excluded from that financing - so the only ones who get it are the big boys. |
