I think Canadian military is better than U.S military. Because americans are so violent!

Canada has a significant army - they are fighting in Afghanistan. They are better known as providing UN Peacekeeping forces. I am sure they have enemies, but they tend to be less imperialistic than us Americans, so they don't have nearly so many.

Canada's military is known as the Canadian Armed forces. The primary role of the Armed Forces has been in UN peacekeeping missions in recent history.

of course Canada has an army,they have fought along side other countries in most wars

Canada is well known and respected around the world for the courage and determination of its fighting men and women. Just do a search of our past battles, namely the Battle of Passchendaele in Belgium and at Vimy Ridge in 1917. Then on Juno Beach at Normandy in 1944.

Even today, Canadian soldiers are taking a lead role on the front lines of Afghanistan, with only Germany supplying more NATO troops in that country. It appears that it is not as important for some of our allies to help bring stability to that region and drive the Taliban out, since Bin Laden is assumed to have fled the country and there is no oil there to protect.

Although our armed forces are not as noticeable in the news and perhaps not as plentiful as they used to be, we do still have 62,000 troops in our regular forces, and 25,000 in reserve corps.

One of our problems is the aging and sometimes antiquated equipment that our troops have been using in past years. We have had fatalities due to Sea King helicopters crashing, and we bought two used submarines from the UK, only to have one suffer an on-board fire that killed one seaman. (There is a joke going around Canada that our navy has only one working submarine, while the West Edmonton Mall actually has two!)

As for enemies, any time we put our troops in a foreign country, we make enemies. Right now, the Taliban want us out of Afghanistan, and have planned attacks on some Canadian cities in past months. The Chinese are none too happy with us for showing support for the Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama. The Palistinians don't like us, as we tend to side with Israel when it comes to their right to exist as a country and for suspending aid to Lebanon when Hamas took power. However, I would not say that our enemies are openly calling for our annhilation.

Canada is a great ally to the U.S.A. so that being said is just as much hated by the same groups that hate the U.S.A. they have the same brave solders who train together and work together to try and protect this side of the hemisphere since the 1950's. they are one of the few that we share our technology with. there strength is as good as ours because we will always have their backs as they will ours.

Of course Canada has a military. Who do you think is fighting in Afghanistan? And does Canada have enemies? Sure - but not many. Canada's role in world emergencies has largely tended to be toward relief efforts and assisting nations in distress - for example, Canada sent a Mars water bomber to California recently, to help with the wildfire emergency.

Yes we have a military ...you probaly if listenning to the news heard the diputes over the USa friendly fire on our military which have killed a few.Every country as an ememy lol...if they side with one of course the opposition would be their enemy ....but overall canada prefers to play the peace role

of course we have a millitary....duh.. but our role is primarily peacekeeping.....we usually send a lot of troops with the UN on peacekeeping missions

Well they have an army they call them mounties they are more peacefull then americans I am sure they have enamies each country usally has enimies!
