Yes, Canada like all First world, modernized, industrialized countries has a low population growth rate. Pro: That's a great contribution to an over populated planet when the world population has a high growth rate, and most 3rd world countries have high growth rates. Canadian Dilemma - Canadian baby boomers are ageing fast and retiring. Our low population growth means we don't have enough people to take on their jobs or even take care of them all. Shortages in police, medical, etc. Solution - we seriously need to look to allowing more immigrants into the country to make up for it.

My opinion is that we base of course out population growth on the past. Which in the past is the baby boomers. If one was to compare to such of course we have low population. My parents and their friends have 10+ siblings, now people waiting a little bit later and life, and sometimes not having any at all. To keep up with current society, and for all the people that are retiring's positions to be filled I feel that Canada should focus even more into allowing even more immigrants into Canada to fill up coming and current voids in the job markets.

Alright here's a little fact, in Canada if we spread out all the Canadian there would be 3 per square km. in America its 98 per square km. We are very clean and our pollution rate is going down actually, spell properly please.:)
