Niagara actually has two portions of the falls. If you mean the traditional "Horsheshoe Falls", that part is in Canada. The "American Falls" and "Bridal Veil Falls" are the parts that are in the USA.
Both New York and Ontario have a town named "Niagara Falls" situated at the end of the falls on their respective sides.
The Welland Canal is used by both countries (as well as international shipping) to bypass Niagara Falls and reach the ports in the Great Lakes, such as Buffalo, Cleveland, Toledo, Milwaukee, and Chicago. |

The crappy falls is on the U.S. side. The horseshoe falls (the good one) is connected to both sides but is considered to be Canadian |

the falls on the canadian side belongs to canada and the falls on the US side belongs to the US. I heard the canadian view is alot better because the US side has the bigger and more attractive falls. |

It's half-n-half. The U.S. owns a side and Canada owns a side. The nicer, viewer friendly side is in Canada, however. |
