Does any body know what kind of animal I saw on the Alberta prairie, like a very small deer?

It was alot smaller then an Antelope, maybe it was just babies.

It could, indeed, have been a young antelope. The difference between antelope (even young ones) and deer is in the way they run. Or rather, the deer run and the antelope bounce on four feet.
Think Gerald McBoing Boing and you can picture an antelope's gait.
If it didn't bounce, it may have just been a small deer.
