Yes I've heard of it! It's quite north of me, but I know they have this wonderful zoo there where you can swim with polar bears. Apparently there are 2 pools separated by glass. The bears are on one side and you are on the other! QUITE AWESEOME...check it out here:

I have stopped by there but never stayed there. I was born and raised in Ontario but now reside in Tennessee. What is it that you wanted to know about it?

thetheatregurl
My grandparents jsut took a little vacation near there, stopped through for a couple of nights on the way. Sounded really nice, very interesting (in a very Northern, secluded kind of way :D )

Never heard of Cochrane, Ontario but have been to Cochrane, Alberta many times. Good luck with your search!

patgd25
Heard of it and been there but that was years ago. Used to live in North Bay, Ontario which itself is about 4 hours north of Toronto and Cochrane is about another 6 hours north of North Bay up Highway 11. It is really far north and, if I remember correctly, not a whole lot to do up there unless you like wilderness.
