There are many small hotels on Sherbrooke street (close to the metro line) and they are 1,2,3 and 4 stars.
There is one I stayed once, very clean, inexpensive and included a continental breakfast !. Its called LA RESIDENCE DU VOYAGEUR, I think I paid about $60 cdn, but I asked for a 2 week rate and told me $45. Really its well situated, close to Downtown and easy transportation. I live in that area.
Check their website n let me know:

I would say Holloday inn is a good place to stay, and they are just about anywhere. But, if you really want to know where the best place is, you should google the place you are going, and see all the hotells and inns in the area, that way, you can know forsher what place is the best

You posted in the Montreal section... so I'll assume that's where you're looking to stay. When my parents came to visit they stayed at the Quality Inn on the Decarie Autoroute. It's about a 10 minute drive from the downtown core but it's worth it because it means you wont pay as much. Plus, the metro can get you anywhere you want to go in Montreal anyways. It's close to the St. Laurent shopping area, and the nearest airport would be Dorval I think. The place isn't spectacular or anything, but it's very affordable. Good luck, enjoy your trip. |

there are lots of hotels that are converted apartment buildings. If you want to stay. if you are staying 10 days get a suite hotel, it may cost $10 more a night, but you'll save lots on cooking your breakfasts and other meals snacks and drinks at grocery prices instead of going to restaurants 3 times a day. Also park on street or private lots instead of hotel parking rates. |
