Survive what?!?

The amount of homework you mean?

Don't be such a sissy!!!

Of course you will survive! Even though you will meet a lot of people that have opposite lifestyles and personalities than yourself, you will also meet a lot of people just like yourself! These are the people that you will "click" with. And if worse comes to worse, Ottawa is only a two hour train ride away.

Hope you have a wonderful first year at McGill!

Of course! I'm from Ottawa and have been at McGill for 2 years! You'll meet tons of people in your situation (from out of town) and you'll have a lot of fun!

Also, whenever you feel homesick, Ottawa's 2 hours away!

kent_shakespear
if you study and avoid partying, you'll do fine.

Not if you can't proof read enough to notice that you used the word thing in place of what should have said think.

But in all honesty if you can get in... that's going to be your biggest challenge. Everything else after that will come with time and no matter what you are better off to try and fail then to never try at all.
