Actually, Canada has 6 time zones; Pacific, Mountain, Central, Eastern, Atlantic and Newfoundland.

California is in the Pacific time zone same as Brisith Columbia and Yukon Territory. So let's say it's noon in California (Pacific Time zone)

Pacific time: Noon 12:00PM
Mountain time: 1:00PM
Central time: 2:00PM
Easter time: 3:00PM
Atlantic time: 4:00PM
Newfoundland time: 4:30PM

The US and Canada are split into 4 main time zones- Pacific, Mountain, Central and Eastern. California is Pacific (PST) and shares this time zone with Canada's British Columbia and Yukon Territory.

You can't be serious. You are asking if an entire country shares a time zone with the state of California? Do you think Canada is the same size as California? You might want to check out a map of North America.

The first responder was close but forgot to add Atlantic time.
Atlantic is 1 hour earlier than eastern time , other than that he was right about BC and the Yukon sharing the same time zone as California.

There are actually eight different time zones in North America -- it seems lots of people can't count.

It's worth remembering that Canada is a vastly larger country than the USA and California is only a tiny part of the USA. so while California has only one time zone, the USA has many and Canada also stretches much further East than the USA to has an extra time zone to the East. The USA stretches further West than Canada so has two extra time zones to the West of California.
