Yes, there is some snow every winter in just about every part of Canada, with the possible exception of some parts of British Columbia.
Snow can start as early as October and happen as late as May, but December, January, and February are the worst months for snow. |

The first snowfalls can be in late Oct. or early Nov., but the heavy stuff that lasts can be anywhere from late Nov. or sometime in December.... I'd say the "worst" months are Jan, Feb and March, but there's so much to do in the winter! If you take advantage of everything you can learn to enjoy the cold and snow. And when spring and summer roll around you appreciate it so much more. The best thing to do is to head up to Quebec city for the winter carnival! So beautiful and the most fun you can have in the winter=)

It snows every winter all over Canada. Our winter is very long and unpredictable. You can expect to see the first snowfall in November but it's not rare to see some snowfalls in October. |

yes, it can start in October |

Even if there is a snow snow in October, the permanant snow starts the third week of November.
Montreal gets about 225cm of snow each winter and spends more than $50 million Canadian dollars each year to remove it.
Every year we get a bad storm which 24" is accumulated in 24 hours. |

Yes, it snows every winter in Montreal. It usually starts in late November and lasts until about April. We get some pretty nasty snowfalls but it is beautiful. You get accustomed to the cold. We do not live in Igloos, though HAHA...It also makes Christmas soooooo much more special.... |

Yes it snows every winter without fail, just when u think its gone, well it'll dump another 2 meters of snow in may (it has happened before)
I have seen snow as early as october, not that it last very long. There is almost always snow by christmas though. and come february you will be so tired of snow, slush, and freezing rain that you will wonder why you bothered to ask the question here. |
