It snows only in the winter. Leave your snowboard at home unless you are coming here in December, January or February. |

The snow is pretty much done until October/November for this year. There is some snow left in the rocky mountains, but certainly not in Edmonton. |

We still have snow now and in the last day or so we had almost a 1/4 inch but it is way odd for this time of year. Temps have been above 0 more or less for a week now and we are expecting +7 - +10 temps this weekend. Normally I would have looked at cutting the grass by now so no, don't bother with the new snowboard gear at all for this trip. It starts to snow in mid Nov and is normally gone by now. |

Typical American ignorance.
Yes, as soon as you cross the border, even in the middle of July, the temperature falls 50 degrees, there is 5 feet of snow, you will see mounties in red uniforms and hats, and we all live in igloos and say eh. |

The snow in Edmonton usually starts in late October and can last until late April or early May. Edmonton is fairly close to Jasper so if there is no snow in the city you can always go to the mountains. |

I live here and no, not at all. It snows from about November to March but like, all the ski and snowboard places are closed now since the season is over. Come next year in like December-February. Go to Banff or Jasper instead. It's so wicked for skiing and snowboarding!!! Plus they have awesome shops for boots and boards!
And we don't live in igloos! |
