There are no deliveries to houses on Saturdays but there are still post offices open on saturdays for you to mail things from. So mail is still processed on the weekend - if that makes sense.

Mail isn't delivered on Saturdays, but Canada Post DOES deliver parcels on Saturdays I believe. I often see the mail-truck come to my condominium when I'm lounging on the deck on Saturday morning. And then I smile and thank the lord above that I'm not working on a Saturday.. .muahaha.

I don't know. I used to ship ebay items all over the world. Shipping to Canada addresses always took longer than anywhere. I once shipped an item to Diego Garcia, a small US/British military island south of India. Shipping there took half the time as to Canada.
