I grew up in Edmonton... Quite a number of things to see and do....

Ft. Edmonton Park.. This place is fantastic, the largest fort & park setting in Canada, actors, ghost stories, food, shows

Like flowers? Muttart Conservatory has a beautiful set up of different types of flowers. 3 glass pyramids. It truly is work the look threw.

Nightlife: Whyte Avenue is a hot spot, pubs and bars everywhere.. But things have changed a bit, not as friendly when I was in my 20’s.

Museums.. Royal Alberta Museum is a hot spot always something going on there.. One of the oldest communities in the City, Its in the Old Glendora area, beautiful homes.

Space Science center Good shows and loads of spacey information...lol

I cant remember if the Fringe Festival is in June or July.. this too is on Whyte Ave lots of plays and activities there. Also along here just behind the Scona Hotel there is a huge Flea Market there every Saturday, you name it from furniture to silly little robots.. it’s a hoot.. and beside that there is a old train that takes you on a tour from Whyte Ave to Downtown its just a little ride for 10 dollars but the sites are nice, the train goes across the High Level Bridge to downtown. Also on Whyte Ave there is a ghost tour, Im not sure if its running during the summer thou,

Of course world famous West Edmonton Mall... This you will need a good 3 days to pass threw here... Really to get in on all the fun.. Shopping, Great nightlife here also... Water Park, and also a movie is being filmed there during the summer that would be interesting to see. Hotel there is fantastic they treat you like royalty, you feel like a million bucks for a day or two.

Also hot rods, I use to be apart of that every weekend cruise around, I’m out of the loop so I’m not sure where everyone goes anymore (Moved up to Northern Alberta)

Do a Google search for Edmonton Attractions and ghost tours and so forth you will come across loads of information to keep you busy.

Travel outside of Edmonton, Jasper is the place to go, Mountains, world famous hotel that use to house rock stars, poets, writers and of course the Queen and her Family.

Now if you want to go camping come where I am... Slave Lake its 2 ½ hours north of the city.. here there is great fishing.. huge lake that reminds you of mini ocean. There are two campsites I would recommend... Canyon Creek Hotel (with a bar lots of fun stuff do there, good night life too with a lake view) and Marten River Campground Provincial Park

In June, we'll be starting the Festival season. The Works Art and Design Festival will be starting. In July, there's the Street Performers' Festival and Klondike Days (Capital Ex) which is a carnival. In August, there's the Heritage Festival with foods from different countries. Otherwise, there is the Winspear Centre, a state-of-the-art auditorium for the Symphony, visiting the Muttart Conservatory greenhouse, of course West Edmonton Mall or any other mall for that matter for shopping, golf at the many golf courses. There are many things to do here. It really depends on your interests.
