Everyone in Vancouver, Canada....Please read!!!!!!?

I am going to be in Vancouver, Canada from March 14th-23rd. Can anyone tell me if it's snowing? I haven't seen snow in 15 years...and I really don't want to be dissapointed when I go and there is no snow. My family and I are supposed to go skiing. So, is it snowing?

There is snow in the mountains on the ski hills. But in Vancouver it is raining as usual.

No Snow in Vancouver, but if you head for the mountains, Grouse, Seymour or Cypress you will be sure and find some.

If you are really into skiing head to Whistler, otherwise the flowers are starting to pop here.

There is no snow on the ground in Vancouver and the local ski hills only have wet slop or artificial snow. Whistler is over an hour away on one of the most dangerous highways in North America.

The 'real' ski hills in BC are in the Selkirks, Purcells, and Rockies.

There will be no snow in the city. The local mountains by this time of year are slushy, sloppy, and not fit for good skiiing. Go up to Whistler and you should still find some decent snow, unless it's raining. The guy above said it is the most dangerous highway in Canada, but while that may have been true at one point, it is no longer so. They've made tremendous improvements since they began working on it for the Olympics.

I'm sure everyone who lives in Vancouver hopes it won't snow during March, and it's unlikely. But there will still be snow in the mountains around Vancouver. There is Mount Seymour and Cypress Bowl which you can drive to, and there is Grouse Mountain which you have to take an aerial tram to. There's skiing at all 3. And there will be snow at Whistler which is about a 2 hour drive from downtown..

Me
there is no snow in city but you can go to cypress or whistler

It's 11 degrees C in Vancouver right now and it will only be getting warmer in the coming weeks. There is no chance of snow for March.

I have been up to Cypress and Grouse mountains this week and the snowboarding was crap. All wet and it's going to melt pretty soon. It was 3 degrees celsius when we were up there.

If you want any decent skiing you'll have to head up to Whistler/Blackcomb, otherwise you can hope for a cold snap to lower the temperature up at the local mountains to get some decent powder.

It is unlikely that there will be snow on the ground in Vancouver unless there is a significant drop in temperature. There will be snow on the mountains and there are a number of ski resorts in the area with the most famous being Whistler, about 1.5 to 2 hours from Vancouver by car. At the moment it is supposed to rain and that is the likely weather you will see when you get here. There is a chance of snow in Whistler however and there will certainly be snow on the mountains there.

As everyone else said, snow in Vancouver in March is very nearly unheard of. The smaller city mountains will absolutely have snow on them though, and you can easily get to them (Grouse, Seymour, and Cypress) to play in snow :)

If you go to Whistler (only about 1.5 hrs away by car) you will definitely see snow! Have an awesome trip :)

toriog_ph
it's not snowing here. althougn there is a winter storm in toronto right now. if you will be here in vancouver, try going to whistler to ski.

It never snows in Vancouver.

Take a car to Whistler. Best snow in Canada. If you are supposed to go skiing then I imagine this is where you will go.
