Flying out of Canada with a expired passport? |
Hello,
I have a flight scheduled tuesday night, from canada to croatia, but my croatian passport is expired since July. I have a permanent residents card which is still good. I am going there to play soccer so I will be returning on June 15th 2009, while i am down there i will renew my passport. Will I be able to leave canada, the only trouble will be leaving canada, but entering croatia i heard will be okay because i was born there. I am flying with Lufthansa.. Need help quick.. Thanks.. |

You can't travel on an expired passport.You should go to the nearest Croatian Embassy or Consulate in order to renew your passport. By the way, when re-entering Canada,you will be required to present your permanent resident card

I would call Lufthansa and call Croatian Embassy nearest you.
Knowing how important soccer is in Croatia, I am sure the Embassy will make sure you have what you need to get there.
