Here's some of our biggest attractions. When you log in they all have winter activities cause we're in November but all those places have summer activities and attractions.

It actually does matter where you choose to go. There's no way anyone here is going to type out the "Visitor's guide of everything to do and see in the 2nd largest nation on the planet."
We're a big country with a lot of variation on things to do. Choose an area and someone will answer with specific items that may be of interest to you. I can think of hundreds of unique things and places in my little corner of Ontario as an example. Expand that to the Golden Horseshoe area of Ontario and it's in the thousands.
At the very least, have a Province in mind or list what interests you for us to narrow down some places and things.

Better stay home. There probably isn't anything that you would be interested in.

It depends when you're visiting ... and what part of Canada, its a very large country!

In western Canada ...

In summer, there's great sightseeing ... both scenery and wildlife ... almost all over the country. Fantastic golf and mountain biking, too! The cities are super in summer, too, with lots of outdoor festivals and events, along with the museums, galleries, shopping and dining!

In winter, Canada is a winter sports heaven! Skiing, snowboarding, cross country skiing, snow shoeing, ice skating, dog sledding, snowmobiling, etc.

Vancouver is pretty amazing. Often rates as one of most liable cities in the world. If you are into outdoor stuff sking, hiking, cycling, climbing, kayaking whatever it all here. It is also has a decent might life and shopping scene.

Generally speaking, if you like art, museums and music, it would be best to go to Eastern Canada (Montreal, Toronto, Ottawa). If you like rugged coast lines, very friendly people and smaller, quaint towns with lots of pubs, head to the east coast (Newfoundland & Labrador, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and PEI). If you like canoing, world class freshwater beaches and smaller, but nice cities, head to central Canada (Winnipeg, Regina, Saskatchewan). If you like mountains, hiking, and larger, fast paced, rich cities, head to Alberta (Calgary and Edmonton are the two main cities). Calgary is closest to the mountains and is about a 2 hour drive from Banff). If you like nature hikes, rain forests, art, skiing (winter and spring only), very multicultural cities, head to the city of Vancouver. From Vancouver there are many places you can head to such as Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands which are beautiful. If you are into nature (like seeing whales, rain forests...etc) then I really do recommend the west coast.

Truly, there are TONS of things to do in each province, within driving distance to the main cities. I have lived in each region and loved them all for the different things that they offer. What I mentioned above is just sort of general feeling I get from each region. The East Coast has tons of hiking and nature outings, just as Quebec and Ontario do - they are just different landscapes. Western and central Canada have museums and music scenes as well (especially Vancouver). If you want my opinion, I would go to one of the coasts for your vacation, or to Montreal. Montreal is sort of European in it's feel. You don't need to know french to visit Montreal either, as most service industry people do speak english to some degree.
I also love heading to Vancouver because there are so many things to do. There is an amazing archaeology museum at the University of British Columbia, there are temperate rainforest hikes within the city limits, There are boating excursions that take off from the city, there are the mountains surrounding the city, there is a great music scene there...etc. So much to do!

no matter where you end up in Canada, I am sure you're going to love it!

Cheers!
