Cape Breton Island in Nova Scotia is rated one of the top four islands in the world in terms of landscape and scenery. Lots of Celtic culture, festivals, beautiful beaches, rugged coastline, friendly people... I feel so lucky to have grown up there.

If you don't fall in love with the scenery (each province is so unique in this respect so do some reasearch) then you'll fall in love with the people and places to go. We're a different sort of folk I can proudly say.

Canada and in particular the provinces of Alberta and British Columbia offer many beautiful sight seeing opportunities such as waterfalls, mountains, hot springs. We also offer many great lakes for swimming, climbing trails and much wild life to be seen. We have fresh mountain air and friendly people. What more could you ask for lol

mr_crankypants
Cause it's not so freakin hot and there is low crime and the people are very welcoming.

Cooler temp than the US right now.
Cleaner air!

Unless you wanna vist old Quebec, or the mountains of British Columbia, or you're crazy enough to love the Arctic, go ahead. That's about it.. unless ofcourse you're crazy abotu flat land in the prairies!

Honestly.... there are no good reasons to go there. the place is extemly dirty and it rains 364 days a year there

Do you like to ski? Whistler, BC is absolutely awesome for that. Toronto is a really fun city....almost like a Canadian NYC, but much cleaner. Montreal has a casino....so does Niagara Falls for that matter. There is an amusement park outside of Toronto called Paramount's Canada's Wonder Land which was pretty fun from what I recall.

Hockey is real popular there, and so is curling if you are into those things. (Go to a curling camp! LOL!)

My parents have been to to the Canadian Rockies and said they are just gorgeous.

Canada is an awesome country and there a ton of things to do. Some people would argue that Canadians are a bit too liberal for their tastes though....but don't let them scare you off. I have met some of the nicest people in Canada. And they don't all say "eh" contrary to popular belief!

Enjoy!
