I will be going to Canada in a couple months and I will be in Toronto. We want to go see Niagara Falls, and we saw that it would be quicker to go across Lake Ontario rather than around it. Is there a ferry or something similar that can take us across?
There was a ferry from Torronto to Rochester but it went bankrupt really quickly. Your best bet is to drive.

No ferry from Toronto to Niagara Falls. It is about an hour drive.

It's less than 1 hour to drive around. There is a bridge on the west side of the lake

As mentioned, there was a ferry service to Rochester, N.Y. but it basically lasted one summer before going bankrupt. You can easily drive. It takes just over an hour. If you don't have access to a car while visiting, there a couple of casinos' in Niagara Falls that offer bus services from Toronto on a daily basis for a very cheap price. Just hitch a ride with one of those buses.

The drive is pretty quick really, and you can detour through Niagara on the Lake, which is really pretty and well worth seeing. Buy a map as soon as you get there.
