Marijuana is illegal in BC as it is in the rest of Canada. Simple possession is a fine but possession for the purpose of trafficking will put you in jail. If you do buy some pot you could also be purchasing from an undercover police officer so watch your back. Better yet, have a beer instead. |

No it isn't legal but in BC having a small amount for personal use isn't likely to get you in trouble. You may not get to keep it if the police find it on you but they probably won't arrest you. |

Not legal, not likely to be legal anytime soon, but it is decriminalized for simple possession. Just don't try to take any across the border when you leave, the Washington authorities aren't so mellow about it. As far as 'good' pot goes - anything you buy in BC will blow the top of your head off if you're not careful - it ain't like the old Mexicali field grown crap from the '70s, bro. |

It's not legal, but it seems to be tolerated in BC. I see people openly smoking it on the street in Van, so obviously they don't have much fear of arrest. There are Cannabis Cafes in Vancouver where one can imbibe, but you have to use a vaporizer due to the smoking laws. Basically the Whistler RCMP have better things to do than bust tourists for smoking weed. |

Weed is NOT legal in Canada. No you CAN'T buy it at police stations. But since you are going to Whistler (a HUGE tourist town) every other person is likely to have it on them. Ask around...it can't hurt! |
