Good hotel near GM place Vancouver:cheap but nice, not a motel..around 200 dollars?? suggestions please?

I'd suggest the Rosedale on Robson. I've stayed there many times on business and they are great. They have an indoor pool, fitness center, and High Speed internet/WiFi. You'll get a whole suite under $200 and it's less than .5 km (basically 2 blocks) from GM place.

The cost depends on the time of year you are travelling so that will affect the per night cost. If you are looking at $200 per night there are several hotels in the area that are decent. Some of them are (lowest priced to highest):

Sandman Downtown - 1 block from GM Place
The Georgian Court - Again about a block from GM Place
Hampton Inn Downtown - Close to GM Place as well

These and several others come in at less than $200 per night currently. If you are interested in the Robson Street area there are several there that also come in at under $200 per night.

Sandman Inn, Hotel Georgia.
Shark's Club at the Sandman Inn.
Lots of clubs in the downtown core, especially on Granville Street(about 10 min. walk from GM Place).

GM place is in downtown,there are some hotel near GM place,go to Beatty street,Robson street,Georgia street or Dunsmuir street..........etc

I'll second the Rosedale on Robson. Very nice all suite hotel that is a short walk to GM Place or BC Place as well as shopping/entertainment/dining. I'd recommend skipping their restaurant though, I thought the food and service were sub-par considering the quality of the hotel.
