Has a Canadian ever had a fist fight with another Canadian?

Oh yeah, and hockey fighting doesn't count either
Additional Details
It just doesn't seem possible on the surface. Canadians are nice people, they don't get mad at each other. I guess siblings get mad at each other.

But two estranged Canadians having a fist fight because they are mad about something. Does this ever happen?

In your life as a Canadian, have you ever witnessed a fist fight between two Canadians in a restaurant? What was the argument?

Canadians are nice people, but still human and get peeved off with one another from time to time and fights do incur.
I'm a police officer and believe me I have investigated my share of common assaults, cause a disturbance by fighting offences and laid many, many charges. We are no different that the US, perhaps a bit more tolerant overall, but generally the same.

After 23 years in law enforcement I can honestly say I've never seen a fist fight between two Canadians. Sure, there have been a few between Canadians and Americans but thats only because we have so many visitors from the US who come up here to enjoy our year round skiing and our outdoor summer hockey rinks. I've also see a few, very few mind you, between Canadians and Portuguese and even fewer between Canadians and Australians. By far the most we see here though are between Canadians and the Swiss. Take it from me, the Swiss are nowhere near as neutral as the world makes them out to be. Other then that the most severe thing I've ever had to investigate was a double parking incident within 40 feet of a fire hydrant. Just shocking. The Judge threw the book at the scoundrel and gave him a $40 fine, payable in $2 installments over a year. By far the harshest sentence I've ever seen.

We had regular fights at school growing up, word would get out that there would be a battle and everyone would cluster around the two combatants across the street from the school. The Canadian newspapers are full of assault and battery items just like anywhere else, not all are alcohol-related incidents...

I once saw 2 canadians beat the heck out of each other after arguing who was going to get the first punch on the loud and fat american. ..ha.. ha . does that count?

I've been in a fight and seen plenty, i wasn't drunk nor was it over hockey, i don't even watch curling, and it wasn't a bar fight. We are all nice until you piss us off :]

I doubt it. Canadians are usually much more mature and less violent than American pigs. Coming from an American, im discusted by what my country has turned into and am hoping to emigrate to Canada so i can make a better life for my girlfriend and kid.

YEP, been there done that and got the bruises to prove it. Heck after all people are people and if you can get into a fist fight there is a good change that you will.

I have been involved in one fist fight in my life, which was not hockey related. But it was not with another Canadian, but an American man/boy, who had crossed at Niagara Falls, to partake in some under 21 drinking at bar downtown, that Americans frequent. He thought it was a good idea to give his girlfriend a slap, for chatting with one of the bouncers(despite his macho exterior, granted to him by countless hours at a weight bench, the bouncer was extremely gay, which made the American guy's reaction to his gf chatting all the more ridiculous).
This was when I was quite a bit younger, braver and temperamental, as obviously today there is no way I would ever walk over to a man and start swinging. I got a few good punches in, and successfully ducked his retaliation, before it was broken up. Needless to say, the whole lot of us were thrown out. I have not been back there since, and I think that place closed a year or two back now. I doubt the other guy has either, as would any American want to show their face again in a place where they got beat up by a Canadian girl? All those years of hockey paid off....he's just lucky I didn't jersey him.

Growing up though, in school, I have witnessed a few fist fights, between classmates. Not so far in my adult life however.
