shops: English bookstores, yes, some other places on the West Island. Also if you have a specific skill and the owner is English, you have a chance (music store, bike shop, etc)
bars: as a busboy probably, try around Crescent street or Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue
hospitality: nothing with public contact, a cleaner perhaps although you might have trouble getting an interview
factories: yes, try in and around Cote-de-Liesse and the Pointe-Claire industrial park |

Yes. My friend moved to Montreal about 6mos. ago. He found work painting (in constuction). He DID moved in w/ his girlfriend that is from Quebec, though - so I am sure it is easier to be w/ someone that has ties to the area! I say go for it and best of luck! |

for jobs like that it is very highly recommended that you are bilingual. or at least speak french.
if youre looking for work in canada. calgary seems to be the place everyone is heading off to. |

Montreal is not 100% french speaking. And I know lots of people who are unilingual who work full time, with good paying jobs in Montreal. It's when you get further outside the Montreal area that towns / cities are more french than bilingual. |

Yah, but expect to wash dishes, unless you find something on the west island where it's mostly Anglophone. |

In Montreal commerce is dominated by the Francophiles, you have to know French. In industry you have to know English, you can get by with no French or very little one. |

If you like great lake views (of your front yard) try Winnipeg. Also, Vancouver has produced more Playboy Playmates than any other city in the world. Definetaly worth a look lol Seriously though, you shouldn't have any problems finding employment in Montreal. Just pretend you parle francais iou lol best of luck eh |
