Beautiful falls. The falls is in a Horseshoe shape. There's a WHOLE lot of water that falls down every second, so much that it can fill up a whole pool full of water in just a second. You have to go see it, it's just so beautiful!

I know 6 million cubic feet of water actually "Fall" every minute ... but I've never been there. Only recently it was in the news that a child had fallen over the edge while "sight-seeing". So security of the general public can't be so efficient.

Note to Dreamcat : you're right, my mistake I was thinking of the Grand Canyon four months ago. My apologies Niagara Residents ... I have just spent an hour searching through my Q&A .. Thanks for putting me straight ...

go to www.niagarafallslive.com for live camera views of the Falls and area. Note to petit chou, no child has fallen over the edge in recent memory, a man was trapped on the U.S. side on the snow covered slope of river edge just today, but no body hurt, security and safety is excellent at the Falls.

I havent no but it looks beautiful so wouldnt mind seeing it :)

I have been there a few times and it is very nice. Its almost overwhelming standing beside such a big force of water. I would recommend the "Maid of the Mist", its a boat that brings you as close to the falls as safely possible. It is beautiful but of course you can only stand and look at a waterfall for so long...there are also a lot of good museums that you can learn about it around there. I hope this helps.

Niagara Falls is a nice place to go and see. I have been there multiple times. The Falls are pretty and you can go on the maid of mist ride or you can go in behind the rocks and be standing right behind where the water is falling. You can also go over to the American side where they have their falls and you can walk down and be close to the bottom of the waterfall. There is also a butterfly place to go to where you can walk around with a ton of butterflies everywhere sometimes landing on you, you can take a jet boat down the river, at night time the falls look neat with different colored lights, really it's a nice place to go.
There is also the Hersheys choclate factory they usually give out free samples. The grassy areas and parks are well maintained its nice to lay down in the sun on some grass right next to the falls getting some sun.

Freckles: Bloodthirsty Creep FTW
It is very pretty and I understand why its one of the wonders of the world...but I also live right there so I'm kinda used to it, ya know? If you visit, there's a lot to do on both the Canadian and US sides. Casinos, tours, clubs and bars (stick to the Canadian side if youre under 21), restaurants, etc.
