Yes,Canada is a unique multicultural country which blends together different cultures and spans an entire continent.Canada is a country of immigrants and therefore it is a multicultural blend of different people, different backgrounds, different races and different religions. Canada has two important political documents, the Canadian Constitution and the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms which directly speak to many of the ideals and values that Canada upholds. Almost all ethnic backgrounds are represented in Canada making Canada one of the most multicultural countries in the world.

There is a person from every country on the planet living in most of our larger cities, so yes.

Canada is mainly a mixed European Culture. England is also European with more class distinction and more sense of history.

Yes, we broke off from Britain a while ago. We have lots of culture, our own and lots of multiculturalism. I don't really know what kind of examples you are looking for ...

Yes - English culture is entirely different from that of Canada, even though some English culture may exist in Canada, it is probably not mainstream.

This next link will help explain something about English cultural life.

I could sum up the difference between Canada and UK like this. A Canadian once said to me, "you think you've got problems with the French living on the other side of the English Channel. Let me tell you that we've got the French living in the same town where we live."

So, Canada has as much French and it does English.

When thinking of 'English' culture, it is probably best to think in terms of 'British' culture.

Here for example is some Welsh Culture - but which is in itself British too.

Our culture used to be very similar, but we have given way to multi culturism. Canada was once a melting pot mainly from Europe, people would immigrate, become Canadian and melt in. By the second generation english canadian, german canadian, italian canadian, irish canadian all became one. Now we have encouraged our people to accept diversity. People from all over the world come here now, and share their cultures with us, rather than melting in. The result is that it has cost us our identity as a Canadian. Diversity has brought many Chinese, Japanese, Indians, Arabs, Pakistanis all of which hold to their own cultures. They can define themselves, but we cannot identify who we are. Then again, we have the French Canadians who remain French.

of course, eg. they don't have chesterfields or toques in england
