Overall Canada is really nice. I don't know what time of year your trip is. But i'd say that winters are the best. Skiing/Snowboarding is really great in Canada if you like that kind of thing and its really pretty outside. During the summer you can go to Safari parks or horseback ride at private stables. There are alot of nice family restaurants in Canada and great amusement centers [for lack of a better term]. Yes I suppose Canada can be cute, romantic even.

However you have to remember that no country is perfect. Just like any other country Canada has good and bad [for lack of a better way to describe the negative and positive] regions

Hope i helped.

I'm going to the University of Victoria right now. It's a pretty neat place, and gets quite touristy in the summer. If you go to the downtown core, near Victoria harbor, there will be a bunch of interesting things going on on the docks, there's an underwater aquarium, a wax museum and and another museum nearby.

I dunno, i like it.

***Edit***

just to clear up misconceptions, it's Vancouver Island, Victoria is just the largest city on it. Vancouver is a city on the mainland. It's messed up, I know =P

You can go any where in Canada and enjoy it no matter what age you are

Vancouver (not Victoria) Island is a beautiful island plus next year the olympics will be in British Columbia. There is the Rocky Mountains there so there is skiing, skating, toboggan, snowball fights, build snowmen and they have ice shows (things carved out of ice) They also make movies in B. C. just be careful where you go as there is a lot of drugs in a certain area. Don't worry the police have that under control. There is two police forces in B. C. the B. C. Police and the R.C.M.P or the royal canadian mounted police with their red jackets. You will love B.C. and you won't want to leave. there is lots for kids to do there. have fun and good luck.

Goddess of Grammar
You probably mean the city of Victoria, on Vancouver Island. Very beautiful.
Victoria Island is way up north and pretty much uninhabited as far as I know. Probably also beautiful, but not necessarily everyone's cup of tea.

I live in Vancouver ( a ferry ride from Victoria)

Victoria really is a beautiful city, I'd definitely recommend it.
But I'm really not sure about what there is for kids...maybe a helicopter tour?

this is a good site for tourism in BC. just scroll down to the vancouver Island region to get info on city of Victoria.

It's Vancouver Island, not Victoria Island. The city of Victoria which is the capital of British Columbia is located on the southern tip of Vancouver Island. There's lots to do in the city of Victoria and throughout Vancouver Island. Victoria is very much a tourist city with lots of site seeing and retail shops aimed at summer tourists.. The Royal Victoria Museum located downtown is a must see. Buchart Gardens is another. For a little excitement whale watching is also very popular with several tour agencies operating out of the downtown inner harbour area. The rest of Vancouver Island is a combination of natural beauty and small to mid size communities. Salmon fishing charters are very popular as is scuba diving if you're into that sort of thing. Cathedral Grove located in the central part of the island is home to some of the largest trees in the world. The outer coastal area of Tofino/Uqulet (sp?) is home to Long Beach a national park where surfing is popular.

Theres something for everybody on Vancouver Island. I'm sure that you'll have a good time.

I went to Vancouver when I was very young and I remember enjoying it a lot. I get the idea that a lot of Canada would be nice to visit, although I've never been to Victoria Island.

Mr. Biologist
you could go, or you could not go and cut off their income for clubbing seals
