Have you ever wanted to move to Canada?

I've thought about it a lot. What's a good thing about living in Canada?
I speak French, not fluently, but Montreal looks like a neat city.

Canada is great! I think you should come visit before you decide you want to live here - and see if you can tough out a cold winter...but I am born and bread Canadian, and wouldn't want to move for anything!

I'm a native Texan and honestly that's so far north....
We don't even get "real" snow here in Houston.
I would adore living in Canada for a year, it would be a wonderful change of pace. I do not speak French, yet pick things quick.

Of course, then I would need to own a coat huh?

canadiantuxedo, I think you are a real joker. Canada is a great place to live , we don't have all the problem of the states as yet, and yes I am a immigrant from Europe and I wouldn't go back for all the money in the world. Its freer here, more space and it is not cold all the time. And since you speak french yes Montreal and Quebec City are a great choice.

I'm a Canadian citizen by birth and I'm planning to move back in 2007. My family came to America because my da got transferred. I'm mainly concerned about healthcare costs in America as well as education costs. I loved Ontario and half my family is there.

It depends what you want, for quality of life, Canada is good, and Montreal is cheaper to live than Toronto.
But salaries are not high, but the taxes are.Winter can be depressing after three months.
