Let me give you a break down of each province!!

British Columbia: Extremely breath takingly beautiful!! Vancouver is full of fun events that happen year round!! Depending on what time of the year you are going. The weather in the summer is very nice! The beaches are great! Definately check out Wreck Beach! Just kidding- its a nude beach! Inland BC is gorgeous too! Check out Summerland- grows the best fruit and vegetables you can eat!

Alberta: If you are in Alberta you MUST check out the Calgary Stampede (First couple weeks in July) Entrance is cheap and its full of free concerts and other really fun things to do! Cowboy style! The whole city goes down for the Stampede! Full of fun rides, shops, games and of course the beer gardens! While in Calgary check out the Sky 360 restaurant, its on top of the Calgary Tower. The Restauraunt revolves and you get to see the whole city in front of you while you eat and drink! (Quite expensive!) If you go to Calgary, you have to go to Banff! A small little town nestled in the rocky mountains! A beautiful hotel and scenery! You will never want to leave! You should also see the city of Edmonton home to the World's largest mall. The West Edmonton Mall has like 1000 stores, a live seal show, movie theaters and more! Really great!

Saskatchewan: A less populated province, quite flat. But you should definately go to Saskatoon and try some of the famous Saskatoon berry pie! Delicious! A real Canadian treat! If you are there in the summer you can even pick some berries yourself!

Manitoba: In the capital of Winnipeg you should practice some of that french before you get to Quebec in the French Quarter. Winnipeg also has good theater, you should try to catch a play!

Ontario: You can do everything in Toronto! Very busy and friendly city! Great night life and restaurants, home to MTV canada! Lots of shopping, take a walk along Lake Ontario! Also Check out Niagra Falls! One of the prettiest things in Canada!

Quebec: In Quebec, go to Quebec City. It has a very big European influence in all their buildings and culture! They have festivals all year around so check whats happening in the city when you are planning to visit! Montreal is home to the famous Montreal smoked meat! haha As well as the basilique notre dame. A very old church that has quite the interesting history ;) Take a walk down to Vieux- Montreal (old Montreal) It is so well perserved and stunning.

New Brunswick: Check out the bay of Fundy- a marine wonder of the world. Whale watching and many festivals!

Newfoundland: Hard to understand accents, but the nicest people in the world live there. Very friendly people. Any of them will show you a good time!

Nova Scotia: Halifax is a gorgeous city. Lots of culture and celtic flare! If you are there in the summer months, go down to the harbours and enjoy the Busker festical full of highly talented street performers! Take a hike up to the Citadel Hill and take a look at the city from the top! Beautiful! Also go to Cape Breton! Friendly people with accents similar to yours! Wnjoy great fiddle music, bagpipes, and seafood!

Prince Edward Island: Small, but not forgotten! Indulge in the delicious mussles and lobster! Beaches here are the warmest! A great way to relax after a fun filled vacation in canada!

Hi
Come on over. The best way to see Canada is to drive across Canada.
Takes about three weeks.

Hi.

It is a vast place with many changes of scennery & people

My sister in law did a lot of of the country, and worked as a "nanny"

I did the the Trans Canadian Highway, as an old hippy.
My parents did the " Rocky Mountain Railroad"

There is so much to behold .....

A small story ......
Myself & wife drove upstate New York in a camper van.
To Niagra Falls.

I sort of woke up a bit bored one morning, so set off.
There is the Canadian border.
No problem.

Breakfast in Canada !

It helps if you have a bit of French, but not essential

I like Canada, so have fun !

Wow! Do you have your visa yet?

If you haven't applied for it, you should do so as soon as you can. It usually takes a couple of years to be processed, and there's a fee and a medical.

If you don't have a visa, you can always come as a tourist. You won't be able to work and you will have to prove that you have enough money to live.

It's a wonderful trip.

Hard to know where to start with what to tell you. What part of Canada are you going to be in? Driving is defintely the best way to see the country, especially if there are two of you, but it does take time.

I sure hope you have a good time when you visit Canada. Remember, this is the largest country in the world next to Russia so it will take you many fun filled days to drive the country. As for speaking French in Quebec remember their French is very slanged and not Parisienne French so they might give you strange looks. Most French-Canadians speak English so you won't have a problem.
Yes, you are in for a great trip. No border or military check-points, cheaper fuel than Ireland and beautiful scenery. We are no longer very wild so don't expect too much in that department but remember, don't drink and drive. We would like you to be around for a might long time.
May ye already be in Heaven befor the devil knows yor're dead. Cheers!
